Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and black pepper

Instructions

Combine Ingredients

  • In a medium saucepan, add ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper

Heat and Simmer

  • Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir the mixture gently to combine all ingredients. Once it simmers, reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally. This allows the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken to your desired consistency.

Cool and Store

  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the BBQ sauce cool to room temperature. Once cooled, transfer it to an airtight container and refrigerate. The sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
