  • 1 Cutting board with knife

Ingredients
  

  • 3 14.5 oz cans green beans, drained
  • 8 slices bacon chopped
  • 1 onion diced
  • 4-5 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Cook the Bacon

  • In a large skillet or saucepan, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove the bacon from the pan, leaving the bacon grease behind.

Add onions

  • Add the diced onions to the bacon grease
  • Sauté for 3-5 minutes until translucent.

Add the minced garlic

  • Next add the minced Garlic and cook for 1 minute
  • Stir constantly to prevent burning

Stir with beans

  • Add the drained green beans
  • Add chicken broth
  • Add the brown sugar
  • Add garlic powder
  • Also add the onion powder
  • Stir everything to combine

Simmer the mix

  • Bring the mixture to a simmer
  • Cook for 10-15 minutes, until the green beans are tender and the liquid has reduced slightly.

Add the Bacon

  • Add the cooked bacon back to the pan and stir.
