Ingredients
  

  • 4 large sweet potatoes about 1.5 kg, peeled and cubed
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup mini marshmallows
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Place the sweet potato cubes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain well.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the sweet potatoes until smooth. Stir in the brown sugar, melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined and smooth.
  • Transfer the sweet potato mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly. In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans, mini marshmallows, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly over the sweet potato mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.

Notes
